(118 diggs) A glimpse into the future by Mozilla concept phone GlobalThoughtz Watch out for the hottest concept mobile in town and the news is its not by Apple, Google, Motorola or even HTC. It was developed by a designer in his spare time as part of a Mozilla Labs project. Seabird is designer Billy Mays vision for a phone that aims to address some of the frustrations people have when interacting with small devices.
Seabird has two pico projectors. When placed in a dock it uses one of them to project the screen on a nearby wall for easier viewing and the other to project...
(1 diggs) Riddle's physical science class denpubs Joelle Kowalka and Nick Budwick complete a lab in Mat Riddle's physical science class at Schroon Lake Central School. In this lab about work and machines the students assembled pulleys and measured force using an electronic data collection device called a vernier force gauge.
(177 diggs) Neutron stars and string theory in a lab: Chilled atoms give clues to deep space and particle physics humblertumbler Using lasers to contain some ultra-chilled atoms, a team of scientists has measured the viscosity or stickiness of a gas often considered to be the sixth state of matter. The measurements verify that this gas can be used as a "scale model" of exotic matter, such as super-high temperature superconductors, the nuclear matter of neutron stars, and even the state of matter created microseconds after the Big Bang. The results may also allow experimental tests of string theory in the future.
