Has anyone ever heard of a Dee Clutch kit for a Jeep Wrangler?

My Jeep has been acting up so I took it in this morning to get a diagnostic on the engine, where I was informed that I would need a new Dee clutch kit and flywheel, with the total of everything being $1500.00. I have been looking up clutch kits online,
$1500 sounds steep to me. How old is the Jeep as that can affect price.
