The brush closest to the bearing is half gone will my alternator work correctly?
It's an uneven "splice" of the brush. No idea how it happend. I'm sure I did it when I went to take it apart. Anyways will it work?

if you are talking about the small pieces of soft carbon that commute power to and from the armature, yes they are called brushes, i an curious why you call it an uneven splice though. as long as you have mild pressure against the two rings on the armature,
