Will cleaning your spark plugs help improve gas millage?

I was wondering if i cleaned my spark plugs would it help on my gas millage?

If your plugs are in that poor of a condition, just replace them. Were not talking major money, unless they are platinum and this is a v-8. and if that be the case, it would be money well spent.
