Car engine makes noise when you accelerator while running at 40mph or more?

I have got a 03 Vauxhall vectra 1.8. The problem is that during driving at 40mph or any speed car makes funny noise (sounds like exhaust leak). I have replaced both manifold and cat but problem is still there. I also replaced EGR valve as well. Car makes

Does this car have a turbo on it, also is your air intake free of debree and is the aircleaner propely installed. if it is turbo are all the pipes in good shape. this problem your describing might be pinging like the last guy described, cheap petrol can
