why won't my car start with auto starter or key?

we started car with auto car starter,,,then put foot on gas without putting in key...which stalled the car.....then we put in the key and everything started to turn on then stopped.....if the car thot we were a robber...how long before we can try to start

there should be a button on the key fob to reset the system. you are correct. the car assumes that you are trying to steal it.
