air purifier that uses water as filter?

i seen something on tv a couple nights ago it is an air purifier that uses that uses water as the filter does anyone know what i am looking for or even talking about

This is called a air washer. they are common in industrial applications I have never seen one for a home and being a HVAC contractor I think I would have run across one if it existed as I read various trade magazines ect. Given the complexity of this
