I want to build a wind generator & need a "Permanent Magnet Motor" 2 use as generator but which motors best?

I plan to build a wind generator to charge a 12 volt battery at first, but all I know is that some treadmill motors are good for this, but where the Hell do you find dead treadmills to remove the motors? So can anybody with more electrical knowledge than
look online for small permanent magnet DC motors.
Model trains are one possibility.
Hobby shops also carry these.
Charging a auto battery is a complicated process if you want to charge it fast and avoid damage
