Went to get belt tightened on my 323i and was told that it was my alternator bearing,what is the likelyhood?
My alternator and all of my belts are new (a few weeks old) but when I started my car this morning it made a skreatching/humming noise that I assummed was a belt that had not been put on tightly when replaced. I drove it directly to the shop (the noise
it very well be altternator bearing caused by a over tight belt but changing atl wold fix that but seems about 300.00 to much but havent bought a alt in a long time I youd ask at a auto parts store on price on alternator for your car and see if your getting
