where is the starter on a 2000 ford mustang v6 3.8L?

my car will not click over all the lights come on and they all go off like i started the car but the battery light and check engine light but i think that's normal. But it wont even click over so i think its either the starter is bad or it's the alternator.
There is a starter relay on the fender where the battery is look at the positive wire on the starter and see where the wire goes if you see a Small wire in the middle then most likely it's the starter relay and you can follow the battery positive cable
